Unlocked Modems also called Universal modems are modems that can work with any GSM SIM card.
This type of modems has comparative advantage over the ones that are Locked to a particular network.
1. If the service on one network is not okay you simply change to another provider just by changing SIM
2. If you find your self in location where one network is not available you simply change to the one that is available
3. Tariff packages are not the same across networks so you could decide to use two network at different times to achieve the best for you, for instance Zain has 100mb for N1000 package while MTN has a N2500 night browsing package, these two packages can be used just on one modem.
